Raiden Shogun's Best Free To Play Weapon

Baal, the Raiden Shogun is Genshin Impact’s next Event Limited Character arriving in Version 2.1, and her best free-to-play weapon is arriving in the same update. If you’re a low-spender or F2P you’ll definitely want to consider this weapon if you haven’t been graced by another excellent polearm via Wishing.

Genshin Impact: Ayaka Wish 4 Star Line-Up

Ayaka, the long-awaited Cryo Sword wielder that gained immense popularity during the Genshin Impact beta, is finally debuting in Version 2.0 in Inazuma’s first banner. Her Character Event Wish will features a rate-up of three 4 Star characters, including two Catalyst damage-dealers and one of Ayaka’s best supports. While Ayaka’s exact value is still up in the air at the time of writing there’s plenty to say about the 4 Star rate-up characters. Ultimately, we’re looking to answer one question here: even if you don’t want Ayaka, is it worth rolling on this banner?

Genshin Impact: Free Character Coming In 2.0

Inazuma is fast approaching, and it’s arriving with a bounty of new events and rewards. Primogems, Mora, Talent Books, and the usual suite of Ascension Materials and weapon/character EXP items are coming with 2.0’s initial batch of events. miHoYo showcased an early preview of these events during their reveal of Inazuma, which includes a re-run of the Lost Riches event and the Ley Line Overflow. More importantly, there’s one more huge prize coming in the Thunder Sojourn event: a guaranteed copy of the 4* character Beidou.

Genshin Impact: Why You Should Max Out Your Dodoco Tales ASAP

Genshin Impact’s new quest weapon is the 4 Star Catalyst Dodoco Tales, and put simply: you should be aiming to acquire and max out this weapon during the Midsummer Island Adventure event. Dodoco Tales offers newer players and long time free to play players a solid ATK-based Catalyst that doesn’t have unusual gimmicks like The Widsith. Compared to the other two F2P Catalysts like the Mappa Mare, Frostbearer, and Prototype Amber, Dodoco Tales is a stronger pick for your typical DPS carry Catalyst users like Yanfei and Ningguang.

Genshin Impact: I Can’t Roll On Character Wishes Anymore

I know this might seem a little odd, but here me out on this one: I can’t afford to Wish on the Character Event Wishes for the foreseeable future. It’s not that I don’t have the Primogems–I’m sitting on about 19,000 currently–it’s that I’m trapped by Genshin Impact’s gacha pity system.

Let me explain.

The pity system in Genshin Impact is a little complicated, but it basically guarantees certain prizes after a set number of attempts. For example, you’re guaranteed a 4 Star item every ten Wishes where you don’t roll a 4 item. That’s true for every type of Wish, although there are some minor differences between the Standard, Weapon, and Character Wishes. It’s the Character Event Wish that’s causing me the most pain right now, and it’s because I’m close to triggering two different pity mechanics.

Genshin Impact: All Free Primogem Sources

Primogems are the primary currency for acquiring characters and weapons in Genshin Impact, and whether you’re free-to-play or a serious spender you’ll want to pay special attention to the sources of free Primogems. More Primogems means more chances at 4 and 5 star items, and unfortunately the free-to-play nature of gacha games like Genshin Impact means you’ll be constantly tempted to invest real money into the game to get more rolls at each limited Wish.

As a low-to-play player I’ve found that I can stockpile a decent amount of Primogems by staying on top of free Primogem sources. It’s not quite enough to chase every 5 star character, but if you’re disciplined enough you can still roll on Wishes with excellent 4 star line-ups and grab the occassional event 5 star. Let’s talk about where these free Primogems are coming from:
