Protective Light is a Charged With Light mod that delivers one of the biggest survivability increases in Destiny 2 PvE content. It’s an insanely powerful tool for staying alive in the game’s most difficult content, and it requires very little investment on your part to make it work. Raid matchmaking is one of the most-requested features in Destiny’s history. Browse the comments of any official Destiny facebook post and you’ll eventually find players asking for some way to join endgame activities without resorting to LFG tools outside of the game. In fact, more control over matchmaking in general has been a popular ask since the game began. Why can’t we enter a strike by ourselves? Do we have to play in public spaces with other players? So far Bungie hasn’t provided us with a way to play by ourselves, so some gamers have resorted to scripting tools that effectively prevent the game from matching you with other players.

Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen arrived with a fresh set of new Artifact mods, including the extremely powerful Particle Deconstruction. With Particle Deconstruction equipped your Fusion Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles debuff combatants and make them take more damage from other Linear/Fusion Rifles. Other players using those weapons, even if they’re not running Particle Deconstruction themselves, will deal 40% extra damage against a fully-debuffed enemy.
Particle Deconstruction is the most impactful seasonal mod this season, but which weapons should you pair it with? Besides obvious picks like One Thousand Voices there are some excellent choices waiting to find their way into your energy and power slots.

Exotic weapon catalysts Destiny 2 often require hundreds of kills, but most of them can be easily farmed in spaces with rapid enemy spawns. Shuro Chi checkpoints in Last Wish are perfect for this, but activities with high enemy density like Altars of Sorrow are often just as good. However, some catalysts require you to get your kills in Crucible, and that can be a tall order for players who aren’t huge fans of PvP in Destiny 2. Luckily, there’s a solution that makes the whole experience a lot easier.

Reed’s Regret is a new Linear Fusion Rifle introduced in Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost, and it’s the only Stasis-element Linear and Legendary Power Weapon in the game. Reed’s Regret has an incredibly unique combination of perks, including a number of first-time perk options that haven’t appeared on a Linear Fusion Rifle yet. It’s particularly powerful this season thanks to the Particle Deconstruction artifact mod, something we’ll definitely discuss. The latest batch of new mods in Destiny 2 Season of the Lost include both new Elemental Well mods, plus new Stasis mods that fit into Stasis armor. The addition of a new elemental type for armor is a bit of a mixed bag. You’ll need to upgrade new armor, or change existing armor from Arc, Void, or Solar to Stasis, but it’s worth it. These mods are incredible and easily among the most powerful additions to the sandbox in Season of the Lost.

Earlier this week Bungie announced the next major expansion for Destiny 2, arriving February 22, 2022. The Witch Queen is positioned as the next installment of Destiny’s ‘darkness’ saga, expanding on the story of Beyond Light and the game’s 4th year of seasonal storytelling. The expansion’s antagonist, Savathûn, is finally getting her time in the spotlight following over six years of behind-the-scenes rumors and hints. Formerly spoken of only in whispered conversations and written about in lore tucked into gear flavor text, Savathûn is one of the most mysterious and powerful beings the Destiny universe.
But Savathûn might not be the biggest mystery in The Witch Queen.
